Property Description:
Hidden deep in a secluded mountain cove in the Pisgah National Forest, 35 minutes north of Asheville, North Carolina, Mountain Light Sanctuary is a magical gateway into the world of nature. Bordered by two cascading creeks and ringed by the highest mountains in the eastern USA, it holds an energy and an ambiance which are nothing less than magical.
Whether you are alone, with a friend or part of a small group, the Sanctuary is designed to meet your needs. It can be your base camp for exploring hundreds of miles of trails meandering through the half million acres of National Forest, or just some 'down time' with a good book in one of our hammocks or a rocking chair on the front porch.
Guests have a variety of unique accommodations to choose from including our Hermitage, Treehouse, Balihouse, Hobbithut, Gnomelodge and our main facility, Elfhaven Lodge. Overnight rates begin at $35 for one person in one of the shelters. $50 for a single in the lodge & $75 for a double in the lodge or for the Hermitage. We also have day rates and group rates.
