Property Description:
This rustic 2 bedroom cottage overlooks Desolation Sound. There is a 40ft.deck where you can BBQ or just sit,relax and take in the fabulous view or watch the awesome sunsets.
Main floor features: master bedroom with semi-ensuite;the bright living room has a fabulous view, skylights and a river rock fireplace plus a queen size pullout sofa bed;a large 4 pce. bathroom with skylight;kitchen with panoramic view. The main floor has newly installed laminate & tile floors.
Upstairs you'll discover a large private room with a double bed and extra long single bed, a library full of books, and access to your own private deck where you can just sit and enjoy the solitude or read a good novel.
Other amenities include: propane fridge,propane oven & stove in the kitchen, hot & cold running water from our tested well and a generator electric power system. At the rear of the cottage there is a 20X20ft. sundeck facing south where you can sit and soak up the morning sun in total privacy.
While there are roads on the Island the most common means of transportation is walking or cyclying. Absorb the astounding views, listen to the tides gently role in, swim in the crystal clear waters of the ocean, walk for miles on the sandy beaches, dig for clams or collect oyster in front of the Cottage.
All this is just a 6 hour relaxing trip north from Vancouver up the Sunshine Coast. It is a 140KM scenic drive, 2 ferries (one fare each way) with a water taxi at the end of Highway 1 to take you across from Lund to this gorgeous island, which some people call Hawaii of the North.
This is truly one of the most relaxing vacations you could ever hope to have. All you have to bring is your food, towels, sheets & pillow cases (not blankets).
